1999 was an amazing year for cinema, giving the world some of the most beloved, groundbreaking, quotable, and rewatchable movies of the modern era! Ok...that might be slight hyperbole, but it's definitely true that 1999 had some amazing films!! And while Eric and I would love to cover practically every movie from 1999 (and probably will get around to it, eventually), we have both been swamped at work lately. So, on tonight's episode, rather than giving a detailed review, we are doing something a bit different. Tonight's episode is a sort of a "what if?" episode where Eric and I come up with theories on where some of the characters from some of our favorite films from 1999 have ended up 20 years later. We have the utmost respect for each of the movies we discuss. But, if you've ever listened to the podcast before, you should know...things get a bit silly....

On tonight's episode, we also wish Happy Anniversary to our friends and sponsors at Central Cinema, discuss the Knoxville Horror Film Festival lineup that has been announced so far (there are some amazing films and we cannot wait for KHFF to get here!!!), discuss the Chattanooga Film Festival (submissions are now open for CFF 2020) and the free movies in the park series that they are doing this summer, and talk about some of the films recently (or soon to be) available on Shudder as we gear up towards our Halloween coverage (which starts September 1).

If you enjoy this episode, be sure to check back soon for more cinematic discussions on The Gargyle Podcast - where we take movies seriously, but not ourselves!! The next episode (finally) wraps up the Harry Potter coverage that Adam and I started a couple of years ago as we discuss Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, part 2.
